Welcome to MovieCravings. By accessing or using our platform you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully — they govern your use of our emotional movie recommendation service, your account, and any content you interact with.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, browsing the site, or using any feature of MovieCravings, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
MovieCravings is an emotional movie recommendation platform that indexes films by the feelings they produce — not just genre or critic score. We use third-party data (including The Movie Database / TMDB) to surface recommendations. MovieCravings is not a streaming service and does not host, distribute, or sell films. All movie metadata, posters, and related content are provided by TMDB under their terms of use.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for an extended period. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
4. Saved Films & Favorites
MovieCravings allows you to save films to a personal favorites list. This list is stored on our servers and associated with your account. We do not guarantee permanent retention of saved data. You may export or delete your favorites at any time. We reserve the right to remove saved entries that reference content no longer available in our index.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its underlying systems; (c) scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the site in bulk without written permission; (d) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service; (e) impersonate any person or entity; or (f) use automated tools to create accounts or manipulate recommendations.
6. Intellectual Property
The MovieCravings name, logo, emotional indexing methodology, and all original site content are the property of MovieCravings and its operators. Movie metadata, posters, and related assets are sourced from TMDB and remain subject to TMDB's licensing terms. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without express written consent.
7. Third-Party Data (TMDB)
Movie data displayed on MovieCravings is sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. TMDB's terms of use apply to all movie metadata, images, and related content. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
MovieCravings is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recommendations will match your expectations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MovieCravings and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
9. Privacy
Your use of MovieCravings is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the service you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to MovieCravings at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.
